Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Newnham Lane between its junction with Tylney Lane and continuing along Newnham Lane for 1150 metres Northwest.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Newnham Lane, Pyotts Hill, Bartons Lane, Great Binfields Road, Reading Road, Hartley Lane, Rotherwick Lane, Frog Lane
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from Thursday 31st October 2024 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Open Reach to carry out restoration of customer service.
