PROPOSAL TO INCREASE AND MERGE RESOURCED PROVISION PLACES FOR PUPILS WITH AUTISM (ASC) AND SPEECH, LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION NEEDS (SLCN) AT HOLBROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL, GOSPORT
Holbrook Primary School currently has two established Resourced Provisions for Autism (ASC) 13 places and speech language and communication needs (SLCN) 14 places. It is proposed to merge these provisions, phased over 3 years, under one designation of Autism and increase the places by 9 from 27 to 36 from September 2025.

1. Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, that Hampshire County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to HOLBROOK PRIMARY SCHOOL Wych Lane, Gosport PO13 0JN (category of school –Community School) with effect from September 2025.
2. Holbrook Primary School currently has two established Resourced Provisions for Autism (ASC) 13 places and speech language and communication needs (SLCN) 14 places. It is proposed to merge these provisions, phased over 3 years, under one designation of Autism and increase the places by 9 from 27 to 36 from September 2025. This change will not affect the overall capacity of mainstream places at Holbrook Primary School.
3. A drop-in session where you will be able to discuss the proposal will take place on Monday 18 November 3:40pm – 6pm at Holbrook Primary School.
4. Capital costs for this proposed change are estimated to be in the region of £350,000.
