THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, EAST HAMPSHIRE) (PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING/UNLOADING AND CLEARWAY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (VARIATION NO 26) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 29th October, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effects of the Order: Will be to contribute to improving road safety for both vehicles and pedestrians along Main Road and Hole Lane by implementing no waiting restrictions as specified below:
No Waiting at Any Time
Hole Lane – west side: between its junction with Main Road and a point 23 metres north thereof
Hole Lane – east side: between its junction with Main Road and a point 28 metres north thereof
Main Road – north side:
(i) between its junction with Hole Lane and a point 38 metres south-west thereof
(ii) between its junction with Hole Lane and a point 23 metres north-east thereof.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Monday 11th November 2024.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 10th December 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
