Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area
The Council of the Borough of Eastleigh (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 in exercise of their powers under Sections 32, 33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") with the consent of the Hampshire County Council pursuant to Section 39(3) of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby proposes to make the following Order, the effects of which would be to:-
- To revise limited waiting restrictions to improve turnover of parking within the Car Park, with users required to display a free parking ticket from a ticket machine. No-return restriction and hours of operation to be determined.
- To revoke the previous Order, The Borough of Eastleigh (Bursledon Community Centre Off-Street Car Park Bursledon) Order 2014.
- To secure the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of vehicular and other traffic (including pedestrians) and the provision of suitable and adequate parking facilities, in accordance with the requirements of Section 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

A copy of the Order together with a plan showing the car park to which the Order relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council’s website: www.eastleigh.gov.uk/TRO.
Objections to this proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing or via the form on the Council’s website to the undersigned by 13 December 2024. Letters of support will also be accepted during this time.
