TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – 3 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION, LONGWATER BRIDGE, FAREHAM
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDERS: Will be to impose a 3 tonne weight restriction on Longwater Bridge No. 475 on River Lane in Funtley, Fareham. This order will revoke and reinstate the provisions contained in The Hampshire (Various Bridges) (Weight Restriction) Order 2024 with no change of substance save for the addition described in the above paragraph. This order will revoke and reinstate the provisions contained in The Borough of Fareham (Various Roads) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (No. 12) Order 1995 with no change of substance save for the removal of River Lane from the schedule to that order. Due to strengthening works this order will also revoke Eastleigh Borough Council Weight Restriction, Weardale Road (Monks Brook River Bridge) Chandlers Ford Order 2002 in its entirety.

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Fareham area
TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – 3 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION, LONGWATER BRIDGE, FAREHAM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effects of the Orders: Will be to impose a 3 tonne weight restriction on Longwater Bridge No. 475 on River Lane in Funtley, Fareham.
This order will revoke and reinstate the provisions contained in The Hampshire (Various Bridges) (Weight Restriction) Order 2024 with no change of substance save for the addition described in the above paragraph.
This order will revoke and reinstate the provisions contained in The Borough of Fareham (Various Roads) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Over 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (No. 12) Order 1995 with no change of substance save for the removal of River Lane from the schedule to that order.

All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
TITLE: The orders, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Various Bridges) (Weight Restriction) (No. 2) Order 2024” and “The Hampshire (Funtley Road Area, Fareham) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2025”.
