TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – VARIOUS ROADS, COUNTYWIDE 2025 (No.1)

The following roads will be temporarily closed at some point during the next 18 months.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14 because of works on or near the road. 

ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads:

1)    Eastrop Way, Basingstoke between its junction with Festival Way and its junction with Eastrop Lane
2)    The Valley, Winchester between its junction with Cromwell Road and its junction with Thurmond Road
3)    Limekiln Lane, Winchester between its junction with Dean Lane and its junction with The Hangars B3035 
4)    Wield Road, Medstead, East Hampshire between its junction with Hattingley Road and its junction with Preston Candover Road
5)    Hardy Lane, Basingstoke between its junction with Winchester Road and its junction with Hamelyn Road
6)    Marlborough Gardens, Oakley, Basingstoke between its junction with Avon Road and its termination 
7)    Bottom Lane, Upper Wield, East Hampshire between its junction with Pound Lane and its junction with Preston Candover Road
8)    The Valley, Winchester between its junction with Cromwell Road and its junction with Thurmond Road
9)    Upper Street, Fleet, Hart between its junction with Connaught Road and its junction with A3013 Fleet Road, including Albert Street and Clarence Road junctions.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: 

1)    Festival Way, New Road, London Road, Eastrop Lane 
2)    Cromwell Road, Stanmore Lane, Romsey Road, Battery Hill, Thurmond Road
3)    The Hangars, Beeches Hill, Dean Lane
4)    Hattingley Road, Heath Green Lane/Ferney Lane, Ox Drove Way/Bottom Lane, Preston Candover Road
5)    Hamelyn Road, Stukeley Road, Penrith Road, Winchester Road
6)    N/A
7)    Pound Lane, Preston Candover Road
8)    Cromwell Road, Stanmore Lane, Romsey Road, Battery Hill, Thurmond Road
9)    A3013, A323, Connaught Road

DURATION OF ORDER: from 6th January 2025 for a period of 18 months. (This is the duration of the Order, not the works, which will vary according to technical requirements. Closure times and patterns will be indicated on site prior to and whilst the works are in progress.)  Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
