Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Lower Sandy Down Lane between its junction with Sandy Down and continuing to a point 115 metres West on Lower Sandy Down Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lower Sandy Down, Lower Sandy Down Lane, Southampton Road, Rope Hill, Royden Lane, Sandy Down.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from Friday 31st January 2025 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Wednesday 5th February 2025, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South West Water to carry out repair of burst main.
