Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of St John Street between its junction with Blueball Hill and its junction with Bridge Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Blueball Hill, Magdalen Hill, Bridge Street.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from Tuesday 25th February 2025 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Monday 17th March 2025, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for The Clancy Group to carry out emergency pipe relay.
