Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Jewry Street between its junction with B3331 and its junction with Hyde Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: City Road, Sussex Street, Gladstone Street, Station Road, Newburgh Street, Upper High Street, High Street.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from Tuesday 13th May 2025 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Monday 19th May 2025, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SGN to carry out fix of emergency gas escape.
