On the 25 April 2025 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the above-mentioned public footpath from its current alignment commencing on Hillside Road and proceeding in a westerly direction turning onto Farm Road and proceeding in a northerly direction onto Hatchery Hill and continuing through Sparsholt campus; to a new alignment commencing on Hillside Road at SU 4290 3192, proceeding north-westwards through a gate in a hedgerow, proceeding northwards following a hedgerow, crossing Garston’s Track through two gates, continuing westwards then northwards along a field boundary, exiting onto a track to rejoin the definitive line of the footpath at SU 4242 3269.
