Hampshire County Council are currently exploring options for the provision of a service for the removal of deceased on behalf of the Senior Coroner within Hampshire.
In certain cases where there is an unexplained, unexpected, suspicious or sudden death it is the responsibility of the Coroner to examine the cause of death. It is also the Coroner's responsibility to remove bodies from the place of death to an appropriate location in or around Hampshire. The Coroner's Office could also request the deceased to be transported to specialist units.
Hampshire County Council are inviting interest from appropriate professions, including national and local companies or individuals or organisations/individuals working as part of a consortium - however there will need to be a named lead company or organisation (i.e. single point of contact) for co-ordination, administration and mobilisation purposes.
If you are interested in assisting Hampshire County Council in scoping our requirements and delivering this service, please register with Hampshire County Councils Tendering portal In-tend https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/aspx/Home against project ref: CC10264.
