Highways – Temporary Speed Restrictions from Hart District Council in Hart area

Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order as the Council are satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road should be restricted because these works are proposed to be executed on or near the road:

EFFECT OF NOTICE

To impose a 40mph speed restriction on that length of Hitches Lane, as indicated by traffic signs.

(No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.)

PERIOD OF RESTRICTION

From 22nd April 2019 for a period of 12 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the restriction will be required for no longer than four months).
