TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – 40MPH SPEED LIMIT ON BOURNEMOUTH ROAD AT CHANDLERS FORD

Due consideration having been given to Sections 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Hampshire County Council proposes making a traffic order as follows:

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Eastleigh area

EFFECT OF ORDER: will be to impose a 40mph speed limit (existing de-restricted) on that length of C358 Bournemouth Road between a point 295 metres south-west of its roundabout junction (formally known as the Carrefour roundabout) which links Templars Way, Chestnut Avenue and the access road to the hypermarket and a point 300 metres south-west of that point.

The order will revoke and re-enact the provisions contained in an existing order with no change of substance save for the addition described above and minor amendments to descriptions for the purposes of clarity.

FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the proposed order, a map showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and the order to be revoked may be viewed in the attachment to this notice or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(i) Chandlers Ford Library, Oakmount Road (Opening hours : Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9 – 5; Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 – 7; Saturdays 9 – 4)

(ii) Borough Council Offices, Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh (Opening hours : Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- C821/MB by 28 June 2019. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Various Roads, Chandlers Ford) (40 Miles per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2019."
