NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an application has been received from Romsey Town Council in respect of Romsey Town Hall for the licensing of 3 rooms as approved premises for civil marriages and civil partnerships.
On the 14 October 2021 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath that currently commences at a point on the U260 Road and continues in an easterly, then south easterly direction to a point north of Haydown Farm. The diverted route will commence at a junction with the U260 Road and the access road to Reeds Farm House, continuing in a south-easterly direction rejoin the route at a point north of Haydown Farm.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to record a bridleway commencing at a point on Cranbourne Lane and proceeding in a northerly direction through an underpass and continuing northwards through the school grounds to a junction with Wessex Close.
The Mark Way School is designated for children aged 11-16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The enlargement will allow the school to increase the capacity by up to 20 additional places. The proposal is to enlarge the school with effect from 1 September 2023.
