Hampshire County Council, having made an Order under Section 14(1)a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to allow for works in connection with surfacing repair works has been directed by the Secretary of State for Transport that the order shall continue in force.

14(1)a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow for works in connection with excavation
works to install underground electricity cables.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: will be to impose a 30mph speed limit and extend the existing 40mph speed limit in specified lengths of Henry Cort Way as follows:
Between its junction with Rowner Road and a point approximately 342 metres north-west thereof.
Between a point 342 metres north-west of its junction with Rowner Road and a point 74 metres south-east of the centreline of its junction with the Tichborne Way bridge at Gosport, an approximate distance of 646 metres.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert Fareham Footpath 36. The diverted route commences at a point on Heath Lane (Footpath 38) and proceeds in a south-westerly direction to follow the current field boundary for approximately 1129 metres, continuing in a westerly direction to a point on Brownwich Lane (Footpath 37).
