HAMPSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL CHARGES FOR OFF-STREET CAR PARKING – NOTICE OF VARIATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 35C and 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that Hampshire County Council has approved the following variations to the charges payable in respect of vehicles using the off-street parking places listed below with effect from the 01 March 2023. All charges are subject to the maximum stay for the parking place.

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION AT OAKHANGER ROAD, BORDON

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to impose an extension of the 40 miles per hour zone on the following length of road Bordon: 40mph i) Oakhanger Road (C176) between a point 140 metres west of its junction with Old Station Way and a point 80 metres east of its junction with the A325 Louisburg Avenue / Templars Way, an approximate distance of 663 metres. The order will also revoke and re-enact the provisions contained in an existing order save for the change above.

THE HAMPSHIRE (WHITEFIELD ROAD / MARY DRAKE CLOSE, HOLBURY) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) (SCHOOL STREET) ORDER 2021

THE GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECT OF THE ORDER will be to make permanent the provisions contained in The Hampshire (Whitefield Road / Mary Drake Close, Holbury) (Experimental Prohibition of Driving) (School Street) Order 2021, the effects of which prohibit vehicles from those lengths of Whitefield Road / Mary Drake Close, Holbury (Cadland Primary School access roads), between the hours of 08.15 – 09.00 and 14.30 – 15.15. as part of the School Streets initiative. Enforcement will be by an Authorised Person as specified in the Order. Access will be maintained as specified in the Order.

THE HAMPSHIRE (HARRISON ROAD, FAREHAM) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING - SCHOOL STREET) ORDER 2023

THE GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECT OF THE ORDER :- will be to make permanent the provisions contained in The Hampshire (Harrison Road, Fareham) (Experimental Prohibition of Driving) (School Street) Order 2021 the effects of which vehicles from Harrison Road, Fareham (leading to Harrison Primary School) between its junction with Serpentine Road and its junction with Southampton Road, between the hours of 08.15 – 09.00 and 14.45 – 15.30 as part of the School Streets initiative. Enforcement will be by an Authorised Person as specified in the Order. Access will be maintained as specified in the Order.

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – ON-STREET, PAY-AND-DISPLAY PARKING PLACES IN STATION ROAD, WINCHESTER

Will be to introduce on-street echelon pay-and-display parking places on the west side of Station Road between a point 51.5 metres north-east of its junction with Gladstone Street and a point 75.5 metres north-east of that junction with the charging hours and level of charges being as follows: Monday to Saturday : Upto 1hr - £1.60 Upto 2hrs - £3.00 Upto 3hrs - £4.50 Upto 4hrs – £6.00 Over 4hrs - £15.50 Sundays : Flat fee – £2.10 This order will part-revoke an existing order to the extent described above.
