On the 24 June 2022 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the unrecorded restricted byway rights running through Chawton Park Wood to the north and south of Chawton Bridleway 4, commencing at a junction with Brick Kiln Lane and proceeding in a north-easterly direction through Chawton Park Wood, terminating on Northfield Lane.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: will be to impose 30 and 40mph speed limits on the following lengths of road at Riseley:
30mph (existing de-restricted)
C6 (boundary link road) between a point at the Hampshire / West Berkshire County boundary and a point 95 metres south of that point;
40mph (existing de-restricted)
C6 (boundary link road) between a point 95 metres south of a point at the Hampshire / West Berkshire County boundary and its roundabout junction with B3349 Odiham Road.
Hampshire County Council has made an order, subject to the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport under Section 16B(1)(b) of that Act, to facilitate the holding of AMA annual convention of Jalsa Salana.
