TWO TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – A27, SEGENSWORTH AND WHITELEY RESTRICTED ROAD, 20 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT

Order 1 Will be to delete Article 2 and Schedule III (50mph) of The Hampshire (A27 Fareham to Portchester) (Restricted Road, 40 and 50 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2014 and move its contents to Article 2 and Schedule II of the said Order to be 40mph on that length of A27 Southampton Road between its junction with Segensworth Roundabout and a point 260 metres south thereof. Order 2 Will delete Article 5 and Schedule IV (50mph) of The Hampshire (Various Roads, Whiteley and Segensworth Area) (Restricted Road, 20, 40 and 50 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2016 and move its contents to Article 4 and Schedule III of the said Order to be 40mph on the following lengths of road: (i) A27/M27 Junction 9 roundabout for its entire length, an approximate distance of 560 metres (ii) A27 Segensworth Link Road, between its junction with M27 at Junction 9 and its roundabout junction with A27 Southampton Road, an approximate distance of 530 metres (iii) A27 Southampton Road, between a point 90 metres south-east of its roundabout junction with Telford Way and its roundabout junction with A27 Segensworth Link Road (including the circulatory carriageway of the roundabout), an approximate distance of 800 metres This order will revoke in full the two existing orders and re-enact their provisions with no change of substance save for the changes specified above.
