How we help the coffee farming community through our partner Mozzo Coffee

The fund sets out to start and support the progression of coffee farming communities. It invests 1p for every capsule and 5p for every kilo of coffee sold. It is our way of ensuring the choice made to serve our coffee delivers a positive impact.

Currently, C2C Fund invests in two projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Muungano and Rebuild Women’s Hope. The fund has enabled Muungano to:

  • build a cupping lab to train cupping skills
  • ensure quality control
  • build a washing station including drying tables, hand pulpers and building materials of fermentation tanks

In Eastern DRC, Mozzo is funding the build of a maternity clinic. They are equipping it to support the community that grows the high-quality Arabica coffee to make their living. 1 in 10 women suffer fatal childbirth complications, buying our Docker’s Coffee can help make their lives easier.

Our Mozzo coffee grounds at our Hampshire County Council staff canteen are available for people to take home. They can use them as organic fertilizer on their own gardens to improve drainage, water retention and aeration in the soil. Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and Arboretum use them in their kitchen garden too to help microorganisms, beneficial to plant growth, thrive. As a member of Hampshire Fare, every time a customer buys our coffee they are contributing to the local economy.
