Progress on reducing single-use plastic food pots

We set yearly targets to reduce our reliance on single-use plastic food pots. Over the past three years, we have achieved an overall reduction of 87% in single-use plastic food pots.

This equates to a total reduction of 2,557,500 single-use plastic food pots (or 1,023 cases) across our schools, cafés and restaurants.

The 12% reduction between August 2018 and August 2019 is the same as:

The 80% reduction between August 2019 and August 2020 is the same as:
1.5 million individual single-use plastic food pots

50,875 reusable bowls purchased

Following our reduction in single-use plastic food pots, we have purchased 50,875 reusable bowls.
We have found alternative ways to think in a sustainable manner without compromising our food safety or service standards.
