Schools across Hampshire are celebrating Chinese New Year to learn more about Chinese style food.

At Appleshaw St Peters Primary school in Winchester 60 children were treated to sweet and sour Quorn or Chinese style chicken curry, accompanied by oriental rice with seasonal vegetables and crispy Chinese salad.To finish they ate ginger sponge or fresh fruit. 

Children's rabbit themed artwork adorned the serving area alongside HC3S decorations for all pupils to view as they queued for lunch. In Alton, the catering team for Wootey Infants and First Friends nursery worked hard to cook 150 roast chicken lunches, plus 20 Quorn in a Yorkshire pudding dishes alongside the Chinese New Year theme day menu for Wootey Junior school.
