Theme Days

Plan your school theme day lunches to fit around your school topics and popular national events.

Participating in a theme brings children together to create a sense of community. That’s why we create exciting theme day lunches to help schools extend their theme through the school day. From World Book Day to World Ocean’s Day, you can include learning around literacy to learning about single-use plastic. Why not invite parents, carers and grandparents to join in Mothers’ or Father’s Day lunches too so they can taste the food for themselves! This will also increase your uptake.

We have just had our Jubilee celebration in school, and I wanted to write to you immediately to say how fantastic your staff have been. Clare and Jodie worked late last night to prepare the most delicious lunch for us all. Two hundred meals were served and were loved by both school staff and children. The sandwiches were imaginative with Coronation Chicken, Egg, ham and cheese. There were delicious quiches, sausage rolls and lots of salad and vegetables. There was an array of cakes, tarts and scones and fruit.

We absolutely love our team of kitchen staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they are always cheerful - even when having to cope with staff absence and other disruptions. You should be very proud of them!”
