SIMS for New Users (Without Reporting) (2 day)

This two-day course covers the basic areas of data input. It gives new members of staff an overview of the way SIMS can be used to support school staff and increase effectiveness

This course is suitable for new staff or staff who will be using SIMS to manage pupil, pastoral and school information on a regular basis.

  • Importing and exporting Common Transfer Files (CTF’s)
  • Editing and extracting pupil information
  • Managing leavers
  • Using the pupil and teacher view
  • Managing the pastoral structure
  • Managing external organisations
  • Managing applicants
  • Housekeeping routines
  • Alerts and messages

Please be aware that due to the set up of our training room, this course cannot cover uploading and downloading CTF’s from the School2School (S2S) website.

This course does not include reporting. If you wish to cover reporting, then we recommend you also attend SIMS_12511CRS - SIMS Reporting Skills, at a later date.

Please note that lunch is not provided. Delegates will need to bring their own.
