Public Sector Apprenticeship Target Report

Period 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018

Prescribed groups and public sector bodies with 250 or more staff in England have a target to employ an average of at least 2.3% of their staff as new apprentice starts over the periods of 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2021. Bodies in scope, must have regard to the target.

The submission for the period 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018 – has been uploaded to the National Apprentice Service portal / Department for Education.

This document provides a summary of the information submitted at the Data Publication Section of the return and has been compiled in conjunction with the guidance document entitled “Meeting the Public Sector Apprenticeship Target – Statutory guidance for bodies in scope of the Public Sector Apprenticeship Target.”
