If life was a musical

Just two more months and I will have officially completed my Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship and it will be time to say goodbye to my teacher and the other students. I have learnt so much through this experience; how to communicate better, how to help others constructively and the art of eating a yoghurt and reading a book at the same time.

But the one thing I will miss the most is all the people I have met through this: my managers, my colleagues, my fellow students and finally the customers. So many customers come in day to day just to see a smiling face and have a quick chat.  Knowing that this can brighten their entire day has had an everlasting effect on me and will always be my favourite part of working as a Customer Service Assistant at Petersfield Library.

To quote lyrics from Beauty and the beast:

“Minutes turn to hours, days to years and gone
But when all else has been forgotten
Still our song lives on”

If this apprenticeship was a musical and each day a song; I will remember it all.

This apprenticeship, this 10 months, this adventure of sharpening pencils, building displays, and helping customers; has opened so many windows for me.

“No more bad days
It's clear from here
No more bad days
For you, my dear”.

And I plan on making this a permanent song to the soundtrack that is my life from now on; throughout my working life and home life; and it is all thanks to Andy my manager for believing in me and giving me the chance I did not know I deserved.

In a few months’ time; it will be my final curtain call and I shall bow and hope for an encore (a chance to work somewhere just as Fantastic, with people just as Amazing and managers that have been just Brilliant). Thanks to all of you for helping to make this a FAB experience.
