Learning on the job

Most of the time when you apply for a job the company requires you to have experience in a similar field or for the job you’ve applied for. Have you ever thought about applying for an apprenticeship? This scheme allows you to have both, or ‘kill two birds with one stone’. You are provided with the training for the job, gain valuable experience, and work a full-time job at the same time. But not only am I gaining work experience, whilst working a full-time job, I am also working towards receiving a qualification that will bolster my CV and hopefully open many doors in my future endeavours.

Have you ever wanted to know about the basics of your role and why it is an important part of a wider team? Well, thanks to my apprenticeship this has been possible. Growing a greater understanding of how Hampshire County Council works from those at the top to those in supportive roles has provided me with the required knowledge to understand how every role plays an important part in the smooth operation of the Council.

"SUCCESS ISN'T ALWAYS ABOUT THE GREATNESS, IT'S ABOUT THE CONSISTENCY.
CONSISTENT HARD WORK LEADS TO SUCCESS. GREATNESS WILL COME."
