Would you like to learn an ‘Endangered Species’ instrument, free for the first year?

Endangered Species Scheme

Put simply, both at a local and national level, there are just not enough of certain instruments being played in ensembles. This year Hampshire Music Service wishes to remove barriers and offer specialist free group tuition and instrument hire to those wanting to give ’endangered’ instruments a try, with an expectation of then joining one of our ensembles.

Lessons (five/ten a term) are held in local schools alongside the rehearsal of the corresponding ensemble- late afternoon/early evening. Instrument hire will also be free, but the instrument must be collected from Hampshire Music Service, Eastleigh. After the first year (in some cases within the first year), students will be expected to join one of our fantastic ensembles/centres (termly membership fees apply).
