The aim of the ten-year campaign is to encouraging children to eat their vegetables by defeating them!
We’re excited to partner with Tilda rice in 2021 to help make eat them to defeat them more fun in our schools. Children eat Tilda brown and white basmati rice at school, high in fibre and a great accompaniment to veg.
We will be having a cook along session with Tilda featuring each week’s veg; schools will be able to watch and stimulate conversation around growing and eating the veg. Join us for the first one on Tuesday 8 June live from 1:30pm to 2pm.
How HC3S are supporting Veg Power
Each week, our catering teams will offer tasting tables with the veg of the week for children to try in different ways. We will reward children with stickers for tasting. We want to encourage children to try each of these vegetables three times so remember to join in at home. Help your child play this fun quiz and identify the veg from the picture.
We’ve also provided participating schools with quizzes and a fun Who Am I game to play in the classroom to encourage thinking and communication skills.
