United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) conceptual tree (Ref: RADE002)
Minnie Moore, Teacher Adviser from the RADE Centre has developed a conceptual tree in order to illustrate that the UNCRC is at the core of everything we do as it is rooted within a global heritage and framework.
The roots of the tree are the four main drivers – survival, development, protection and participation which are rooted firmly within the globe. The trunk of the tree is the UNCRC and the branches are the articles of the convention leading from it. The leaves may vary from school to school and change depending on priorities and therefore may fall to the ground at different times and feed the tree. However, the core will not change and always be at the heart of what we do with the best interests of the child (Article 3).
An interactive electronic version of the tree is available for schools to use to develop their own bespoke RRE model.
Subscribing schools £10 and non-subscribing schools £45.
