Open expeditions

Open expeditions are for those who are unable to complete their expedition section with their school or DofE Centre. You must be enrolled on the relevant DofE Award level in order to book your place on an expedition.

Hampshire Outdoors provide a variety of packages to support the completion of the expedition section of the DofE Award, from training to assessment. We also offer combined packages. All are open to those living within and outside of Hampshire.

My daughter had an amazing time with you all. She made new friends, marvelled at the beauty of the countryside and most importantly enjoyed some very special experiences that took her out of her comfort zone.

All expeditions are organised by the Hampshire Outdoors team. All staff are DBS checked and carry an appropriate first aid qualification.

Hampshire Outdoors will provide group kit including tents, stoves, gas, maps and compasses. Participants will need to provide all other personal kit.

Further information, such as a kit list and itinerary, will be sent 6 weeks prior to the expedition date. We will also host a virtual meeting to answer any questions.

Expeditions are run on minimum numbers. If numbers are not reached then an alternative expedition date will be offered or a full refund will be issued.
