During this 3 hour workshop you'll be guided through shooting and developing black and white film in a friendly and relaxed environment. Whether you're a photography newbie or a seasoned digital photographer you'll go home having experienced the unique joy that the analogue process delivers.

The workshop begins with a brief introduction to film photography and familiarisation you with the camera you'll be using. Then head out for a walk around the grounds of the study centre to capture your images. Alex will be on hand along the way for tips on exposure and composition to ensure you get the most from your roll of film.

Once you've shot your film head back to the classroom, where Alex will demonstrate how to load your film into a developing tank, develop, fix and wash your film to reveal your negatives. After the workshop your negative will be scanned and converted, and your positive images sent to you by email as well as your negatives being returned to you by post should you wish.

Included in the price is: Use of a 35mm SLR camera, a roll of black and white film, all required development equipment and chemicals, and scanning of your negatives.
