Multiply for Schools/Parents

Multiply has developed a range of flexible and fun numeracy workshops that can be delivered in your school. There are a number of free short courses aimed at helping parents and carers boost their maths skills in order to support their children's education. Multiply are also offering courses for Teaching Assistants to become more confident when supporting maths lessons.

• Coffee, Cake and Calculations - an introductory course that will help broaden numeracy skills.
• Fractions, Percentages and Decimals - an online session to enhance your maths skills to confidently support your child with their homework.
• Free Maths Confidence Building for Teaching Assistants – a one-day training course for TAs to strengthen their maths skills and to improve their confidence when supporting in the classroom.
• Functional Skills - a recognised GCSE alternative qualification with a Functional Skills Level 2 course being equivalent to a GCSE grade 4 (C).
• Games Night - a fun family approach to applying maths skills whilst playing board games.
• Help with Homework - a session to increase confidence of parents and carers to support their child's maths progression at school.

This idea is very useful. Children like to play so by playing they learn faster. Games make math abstractions connected to practice. it’s a very good idea to make this like an enrichment club in a school for all children.
