Change of details
If your circumstances change, contact Pensions Services as soon as possible. Send a signed letter that includes your National Insurance number. We cannot accept the information by email or phone.
Write to us if you move home. Include your National Insurance number and signature, as well as your new address and postcode. We cannot accept changes of address by email or over the telephone.
- Bank or building society account
If you change your bank or building society account, print and complete the Change of bank details form and send it to Pensions Services.
You can send a letter if you prefer, which must include:
- your name and address
- National Insurance number
- new bank or building society details
- your signature
If your letter or form arrives after the middle of the month, your record may not be updated in time for the next pension payment. Your pension record would be updated in time for the payment after that. You may wish to keep your old account open until payments are being sent to your new account. We will write to tell you when we have updated your record.
- Marriage, civil partnership or cohabiting
If you marry or enter into a civil partnership, send a letter that includes your National Insurance number, with a photocopy of your marriage or civil partnership certificate.
If you were a member of the New Firefighters' Pension Scheme, and you live with your partner but you are not married or in a civil partnership, you may nominate them to receive a dependant's pension if you die. Complete a Nomination of dependent partner for a survivor's pension form.
If you would like an estimate of the pension that your spouse or partner would receive if you were die, enclose a Request for an estimate of partner's pension form.
- Separation, divorce or dissolution of civil partnership
Send a letter that includes your National Insurance number. If relevant, enclose a photocopy of your decree absolute or final order.
Send a signed letter that includes your National Insurance number, with a photocopy of your change of name deed.
- Death of a pensioner
To tell us if a pensioner has died, phone 01962 845588 as soon as possible. You can email or write to us if you prefer.
