Pensioner overview
This page is for people who are receiving a Fire pension.
Fire pensions are usually paid monthly, directly into your bank account, and are taxable.
- If you were a member of the Fire Pension Scheme (FPS) your pension will be paid in advance of the month
- If you were a member of the New Fire Pension Scheme (NFPS) your pension is paid in arrears of the month
You can view and print your payslips and your annual P60 through our Member Portal.
If you are unable to use our Member Portal then you can write to us (not email) and ask to receive paper copies of your payslips. Please include National Insurance number in your letter so that we can identify your record. We will then post you a payslip twice a year, before the April and May payments are made. We will also post your P60 and a pensioner newsletter.
If you have any tax queries, you should address them with the tax office.
If you change any of the following personal details please let us know as soon as possible:
- Your address.
- The bank/building society account that your pension is paid into.
- Name or marital status.
