In view of the recent decision of the Court of Appeal in Evans & Ashcroft v Chief Constable of South Wales Police regarding retired officers who may have had their injury pensions over-deducted since 2010; Hampshire Constabulary can confirm that all recipients of injury pensions are receiving the correct amount of injury pension.
Hampshire Constabulary conducted a review of all injury pensions and relevant additional benefits being received from the Department of Work and Pensions in 2017/18 and benefits were corrected at that time if applicable.
Although the review that Hampshire Constabulary conducted was prior to this Court of Appeal decision being published, all injury pension payments have been calculated in line with this decision.
