Following a recent ruling from the Pensions Ombudsman regarding the calculation of commutation factors for members of the Police Pension Scheme, who retired between 1 December 2001 and 30 November 2006, we are currently waiting for further guidance from the Government Actuaries Department (GAD) on how any payments due to those affected will be calculated.
As soon as we receive this we will begin to work through the cases of the members identified as being affected. We expect this to be a big project and we ask for your patience. We will be in contact with all of the members affected as soon as possible.
