    All staff in the Adults’ Health and Care Directorate are entitled to regular, reflective supervision. For Social Workers this is 1:1 and a minimum of 1.5 hours per month. Additional support is provided by a Directorate mentoring scheme.

    Social work apprenticeship scheme

    Joining us as a case worker can lead to a fantastic career in Adults’ Health and Care. Our experienced case workers can be considered for our social work apprenticeship scheme, which is currently run by the University of Winchester, leading to a career as a qualified social worker.

    • Team Manager - £47,430-£52,735
    • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) - £39,382-£46,679 per annum (inclusive of £3,000 per annum market supplement for senior social workers), plus up to £5,000 per annum AMHP market supplement.
    • Senior Social Worker - £42,382-£46,679 (inclusive of £3,000 per annum market supplement)
    • Social Worker - £39,382-£43,679
    • Newly Qualified Social Worker - £35,241 then move to £39,382 on completion of ASYE
    • Senior Case Worker - £32,149-£35,241
    • Case Worker - £26,918-£29,616
  • Local government pension

    You will be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme. Membership is available to all employees excluding teachers, who join the Teachers' Pension scheme.
