Hosted by Hampshire County Council in partnership with Community Care, Social Work in the South returns for its second year on 3 December 2019, following the success of the inaugural event in 2018. Once again within the stunning surroundings of Guildhall Winchester, students, newly qualified and experienced social workers alike are invited to come together and hear from local authorities, charities and peers about the fresh approaches being taken to social work and social care across the South of England.
Attendees will be able to hear about live job opportunities, discuss methodologies and practices – all FREE of charge. Learn more about Social Work in the South
Our children’s social care practice has undergone fundamental transformation over recent years, resulting in dramatic changes to the way we work and the entirety of our service being rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in May 2019.
On our journey to Outstanding, we’ve dedicated time and resource to creating the right conditions for social workers to work flexibly. We’re proud to provide social workers with the capacity they need to make a real difference to the lives of young people, as well as ensuring their wellbeing is always prioritised and they enjoy a positive work-life balance.
The last few years in Hampshire have seen the introduction of new staff, technology, approaches and values, all of which have transformed social care in Hampshire, as part of an initial £6.5 million investment. We are excited to continue this investment and are looking for social workers to join us, working with and training alongside some of the very best in the country.
