Clare Gott

Advanced Practitioner, Southampton City Council

Clare has 20 years’ experience in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Clare started her career providing support to children and families at risk of breakdown, going on to work with children and young people in residential homes. Clare completed her Diploma in Social Work in 2003 and her Degree in 2010. During her career she has held roles as Manager of a Residential Unit for children who have experienced severe traumatic experiences; Assistant Team Manager in Fostering, as well as Advanced Practitioner in Southampton’s Principal Social Work Team. Alongside these senior roles Clare has ample experience working alongside children and their families in Education, Youth Offending and Looked After Children settings .
