Talk-Kit

Natalie Eshun and Makeda Amoah are specialist Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) and Co-Directors of Talk-Kit Ltd, a company that provides speech and language training to parents, carers and professionals. Both therapists have extensive experience within local authority, NHS and education settings across London boroughs and have supported children in care as respite carers and mentors.

Natalie began her carer working with children with hearing impairment and later developed her specialism working with children and young adults from 2-19 years who have complex communication needs, including learning and physical disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As the lead therapist at a special needs school, for secondary students with challenging behaviour, complex needs and ASD, she played an instrumental role in fostering a practical and collaborative working model between teaching staff and SLTs. Natalie now runs her private practice and forms part of a multidisciplinary children's Autism diagnostic team.

Makeda has spent her career working within mainstream primary and secondary schools, providing tailored therapy and training to compliment curriculum expectations. She specialises in supporting children who stammer and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Throughout her career Makeda has been committed to highlighting the relationship between communication difficulties and challenging behaviour to ensure vulnerable children and young people receive the right support. Currently, she is the lead speech and language therapist in her local NHS service for children aged 11-19 years in mainstream schools, colleges and pupil referral units.

Since establishing Talk-Kit Ltd in 2017 the two therapists have delivered training to social workers, support workers, parents and carers across fostering agencies, local authority social care teams and most recently Coram BAAF.
