Great Hall volunteer

About the opportunity

This public-facing role plays an important part in caring for Hampshire’s heritage and making this accessible through The Great Hall. You will welcome visitors to the site and assist with providing customer service, care and security for the benefit of our visitors and the local community.

The Great Hall is managed by Hampshire County Council. The Great Hall is open all year round to visitors. The Great Hall, one of the finest surviving aisled halls of the 13th century, contains the greatest symbol of medieval mythology, King Arthur's Round Table, and is all that now remains of Winchester Castle. Great Hall Volunteers help the Great Hall Officers with the opening and upkeep of the site.
