Park Visitor Centre and Shop Volunteer
About the opportunity
This public-facing role plays an important part of visitor interaction at Royal Victoria Country Park. Our reception and shop are often the first point for visitors to find out about the site.
We are looking for warm and friendly volunteers to welcome visitors to the site and provide a good customer service.
Typical tasks and duties
- be friendly and approachable to all visitors and provide a high level of customer service
- answer visitor queries or direct them to an appropriate member of staff
- assist with retail sales, cash handling and helping to keep the shops stocked
- answer telephone enquiries
- assist in selling car pass sales, event ticket sales and BBQ bookings
- promoting events and other activities
- ensuring leaflets displayed and notice boards are up to date.
Training
No previous experience is necessary. Park staff and volunteers can show you the tasks.

When
We are looking for volunteers to support the shop, Monday to Sunday 11am to 3pm.
