This is an online talk using Zoom.
The census returns for 1841-1911 are a splendid way of discovering more about the people who lived in your street, town or village, or gaining insights into the lives of your ancestors. In this census year, as we look forward to the release of the 1921 census in January 2022, this talk will explore some of the possibilities and pitfalls in using the census returns for local or family history research, and will include hints about how to interpret the information they contain, using examples from Hampshire.
All you need to attend a talk on Zoom is some basic computer skills and experience in using the internet. Don't worry if you have not used it before as we will send you some basic guidance when you book.
