In line with the Government’s COVID-19 roadmap, Hampshire Record Office is reopening from 13 April 2021 for pre-booked appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Requests for copying and research services involving documents stored in the Records Office will also resume from 12 April.

Venue hire in historic Winchester
Conveniently located in the heart of Winchester, next to the train station, Hampshire Record Office offers a range of meeting and event facilities that can accommodate up to 80 guests.
Our versatile space and facilities are suitable for a variety of corporate events and private functions including business meetings, screenings, exhibitions and product launches.
The CinemaOur cinema is ideal for meetings and presentations, and can seat 80 people. The room has tiered seating with a cinema screen, projector and a range of audio-visual presentation facilities.
Conference RoomThe conference room seats up to 30 people, depending on layout. It is an informal space with an interactive whiteboard and presentation facilities. It can be arranged in a variety of ways to suit your requirements.
Archive Search RoomOur large open plan research space can be made available by special arrangement and is suitable for a range of events.

Please note venue hire is not available on Sundays.
We do not yet have a date for recommencing hiring of our venue.
