For those who have completed an improvers course or are at a similar stage in their learning. This workshop will teach you how to use fingerpicking to perform single notes and chords on the guitar.

This workshop will take place in a friendly group atmosphere via Zoom. It will introduce learners to using fingerpicking to perform on the guitar. It is not aimed at complete beginners so will require some previous experience. Learners will require their own guitar and an electronic tuner.

Prerequisite skills: Ability to use individual fingers and familiarity with guitar tablature.

By the end of the course you will be able to...

  • Use individual fingers and thumb to pick strings
  • Perform a melody with fingerpicking
  • Perform fingerpicking patterns with chords
