Research suggests that music can stimulate the body’s natural feel good chemicals. It can help energise our mood and even help us work through problems and provide an outlet for us to take control of our feelings. Music can help promote wellness, manage stress, express feelings, enhance your memory and even improve communication.

Previous knowledge/experience required: Ability to use individual fingers and grip. Knowing how to tune the ukulele would be recommended and very useful but help will be given in the form of a short 1-2-1 session and video lesson made available upon booking.

By the end of the course you will be able to...

  • Hold the ukulele correctly
  • Perform 6 common chords
  • Strum chords in time to a beat
  • Perform chord changes in time
  • Strum along to a selection of simple songs
