A view to Earth from the Moon

The first manned lunar landing in July 1969 was the singular achievement of Project Apollo. Five more successful moon landings put 12 men in total onto its surface.

After pioneering success by the USSR in placing a cosmonaut in space during 1961, America's NASA response was Project Mercury, followed by the 2-manned spacecraft of Project Gemini.

Naval researcher David Verghese presents this illustrated talk to mark the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.
