Introduction to Mental Health First Aid
This is a course about awareness. It is the initial care and support given to someone experiencing a mental health problem until professional help takes over. It’s designed to help you understand the signs and symptoms of mental health issues such as stress, anxiety & depression, as well as exploring stigma, judgment, and the bystander effect. You will learn how to effectively communicate with someone who may be experiencing mental health problems, as well as being able to sign post them to the appropriate professional services.
