Have your say on traffic proposals for Oakhanger

Residents of Oakhanger, in East Hampshire, near Whitehill & Bordon are being encouraged to share their views on proposed traffic measures for the village

Hampshire County Council has worked closely with the Oakhanger Residents Traffic Group to develop a scheme designed to encourage walking in the village and calm the speed of traffic.

Councillor Rob Humby, Hampshire County Council’s Executive Member for Environment and Transport said: “The County Council wants to help local residents walk in the village by providing a missing footway link and introduce measures to protect Oakhanger from possible additional traffic that may be tempted to travel through the village as a shorter route between Whitehill & Bordon and Alton. We hope it will encourage more walking once the scheme is complete. We’re very keen to hear the views of local people about this scheme.”

Local residents of the village and other interested parties are invited to fill out the online survey which closes at midnight on Wednesday 19 December.
