You may have noticed a big change to some of our web pages. We’ve redesigned the pages for Jobs, Volunteering, Armed Forces, The River Hamble and Transport & Roads to make it easier for people to complete tasks and access information.
The way people are choosing to communicate with us and access services is changing, with a huge increase in the use of tablets and smart phones. That’s why we’ve made these pages more streamlined and mobile-friendly. They help people by giving them easier access to our services and, in turn this improves efficiency and save taxpayers’ money.
Our web team have worked with services to redesign and rewrite the content, making tasks easier to complete, and ensuring information is easy for people to find, and to maintain.
We’re working on improvements to other pages, so there’s lots more to do, but please have a look at the new designs and find out how easy it is for instance to apply for a Blue Badge, or an older persons’ bus pass, to tell us about a faulty streetlight, or to report a pothole.
